Tidewater Interiors has been family owned and operated since 1981. Allan and Elle Auvil, second generation owners, have been integral to the business since 1995 with Allan as general manager and Elle as an award winning designer.

Over the years, Tidewater Interiors and its designers have won numerous awards. Recent honors include Peoples Choice Award, Parade of Homes 2004; Best Overall Design, Parade of Homes 2005; 2 Gold Medals for Design, Showcase of Homes 2006; 2 Blue Ribbons for Design, Peninsula Tour of Homes 2006.

Our team of 4 full time designers brings over 50 years of combined interior design experience to your project. A wide range of skills, and the ability to turn your personal vision into reality make the Tidewater Interiors designers the perfect choice for your next design project. Our design skills know no boundary; we can work with your preferred style, ranging from contemporary to the most traditional look. We work on projects of all sizes, ranging from a single window to homes over 15,000 square feet. We also work outside the Tidewater area, having completed numerous homes in Roanoke, the DC area, the Eastern Shore, and the Outer Banks. Our custom in house workroom is unique to area design firms. This allows our designers to work hand in hand with the seamstresses, fine tune every detail, and bring seamstresses to your home if necessary to literally "put their hands on the project". This service ensures that your window treatments truly reflect the vision you and your designer have created. Our garage organizational division allows you to bring the same finished look to the "last room" in your home. High quality flooring and cabinet systems create a look for the garage that mirrors the pride you take in the rest of your home.
